Beach
The city of Dubrovnik and its beaches on the Riviera as regards bathing, have high quality of the sea according to the EU criteria. Beatyful beach is SUNJ on island Lopud hour away from Dubrovnik. Most popular public beaches in the town itself are: BANJE beach extremely well located pebble beach with a beautiful wiev to the Old town. It has it's own reception, restaurant, cafe bar, deck chair and sun umbrellas rentals. LAPAD beach is located in Lapad bay, very close to the Lapad walking Zone and in the near vicinity of 4 hotels, many restaurants, cafe bars, tennis courts, children playgrounds.
On the beach itself there is a restaurant and two cafe bars. The beach is equipped with showers and changing cabins, sun umbrellas and deck chairs. This is one of the sandy beaches where you can spend a day enjoying natural tree shade. St. JAKOV beach is located at the eastern part of the Old city, very popular among local people. It's pebble beach with a possibility of renting sun umbrellas and deck chairs. There is also restaurant and cafe bar.
Banje the most famous Dubrovnik beach seems like providence. This divine pebble beach is located near the entrance gate to the Old Town. Banje beach offers laying down, relaxing, in a deck chair under a sun umbrella, enjoying an amazing view while ordering a cool drink from a beach bar.
Copacabana is a beach located on Lapad peninsula, in a part of Dubrovnik called Babin Kuk. The beach has a direct view to a remarkable Dubrovnik bridge and beautiful Daksa island, part of the Elaphite Islands. Copacabana is an attractive pebble and concrete beach with a huge offer for your enjoyment. One can rent a kayak and go with it all around Babin Kuk, and the whole Lapad coastline.
Lokrum Beach - swimming and sunbathing on Lokrum Island - just off Dubrovnik Old City : this is a very popular swimming spot for Dubrovnik visitors. it is also very conveniently located - take a small taxi boat from Dubrovnik Old Town's harbour which will take you to Lokrum.. It is a pleasant ten minutes sail to Lokrum which is favourite excursion place for locals and visitors too. From the Old city harbour regular boats run during Spring and Automn every hour and during the summer time every half and hour to the island.
